VEGA RECORDS CHRISTMAS EXTRVAGANZA AT PACHA NYC
FEATURING SEXY SINGING SENSATION ANANE

On February 4th 2007, Grammy Award winner, illustrious producer and superlative DJ, Louie Vega featuring, the luminous lead vocalist Anané performed “One Dream” at the Super Bowl XLI pre-game show along with The Elements of Life Orchestra in collaboration with the Canadian entertainment empire; Cirque De Soleil.  Anané rocked the sold out South Florida, Dolphin Stadium with her smoldering voice for over 145 million televised viewers worldwide.

This televised progressive 8 minute track of  “One Dream” featured the sultry song bird, Anané surrounded by a tranquil cinematic atmosphere of a “state of the art” fiesta of percussions and stylish brass instrument orchestration that ended with a first-rate tribute to the Latin house music scene and the Philadelphia Sound of soulful funk music discernible by its lush instrumental arrangements of sweeping strings and piercing horns.  “One Dream” was written and composed by dance music pioneers Louie Vega & Blaze and is a truly timeless classic that blends together traditional musical taste with a house music sensibility.

The stylish songster Anané will also perform her cover of the Yoko Ono’s, 80’s new-wave dance cult classic  “Walking On Thin Ice”.   Anané pays homage to the celebrated Japanese American artist and musician on her debut full-length solo album “Selections” originally released on Vega Records in 2006, which is currently being re-mastered and remixed by wunderkind Louie Vega and will be released in Spring 2008 on the influential groovy urban record label, Tommy Boy Entertainment

 “Walking On Thin Ice” lyrics speak of the unpredictability of life and death and ironicaly John Lennon died clutching a final mix of it in his hands. Lennon's lead guitarwork on the track, which he had recorded the day he died  are praised by many musical historians as the most fascinating of his career and was thus his final creative act.

The Vega avante gaud version of this iconic dance record is a musical tour de force that features Anané’s soulful vocal styling amid rock guitars and elctronic synthesizers interlaced with a funky disco bass line.

Like the tropical exotic Chameleon, Anané’s colourful musical sounds blend into various harmouius genres, which are evident in her debut album.   Anané’s innate and innovative song writing ability is apparent in the numerous tracks she composed for her solo album. “Selections” is a an eclectic collage of Afro-Caribbean dance music with reggae flavors, vamped by rock guitars, fused with soul and funk, creating a new punk-dance genre offering the listener a cornucopia of delightful and delicious rhythms, beats and tempos to groove to.

Anané’s unique, uplifting and spiritual musical style has propelled her to the forefront of the dance club scene. Based upon Hwang’s conceptual collaboration with Anané, this prolific designer infused his natural fashion astuteness, his aesthetic inspiration and his imaginative impact that he experienced as a patron in NYC club scene during the late 80’s and early 90’s.  By retuning to these musical roots, Hwang has come full circle artistically via this project with Anané, thus creating a bold daring and cutting edge jewelry anthology exemplifying the essence of her unique fashion sense, musical style and artistic vision.
